When wild salmon return home to spawn and die, their bodies give life to their progeny, the earth and humans. Right now it’s up to us to ensure their existence continues. By suddenly dismantling EPA safeguards protecting the salmon, water and people of Bristol Bay, Alaska – the US has revived a corporation’s relentless pursuit to build North America’s largest open-pit copper mine in the world’s most prodigious wild sockeye salmon run. Fresh into addiction recovery, this urgent threat spurs filmmaker Mark Titus back to the Alaskan wilderness he loves, guided by the question: how do you save what you love while simultaneously saving yourself?
