Quentin Tarantino’s THE HATEFUL EIGHT is a razor sharp homage to the cinematic Western. Not long after the end of the Civil War the land crawls with miscreants and bounty hunters. John Ruth (Kurt Russell) is hauling captured outlaw Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh) to the city for hanging when they pick up Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson) in the middle of a Wyoming blizzard. Soon they find themselves holed up in a haphazard locale with a group of unseemly types who are all hiding their own agendas.
