Special Membership Meeting – Saturday April 14 noon-2:00pm

OFS invites you to the 2nd-ever special membership meeting! This meeting is being convened, in accordance with our By-Laws, at the behest of a petition signed by 10%+ of the membership. This petition addressed concerns about staffing changes at OFS, and raised questions about some of the processes at work within managing the organization. The Board of Directors, Staff and interested members are excited to have the opportunity to communicate with the membership directly about these issues. During this meeting, we will discuss the following, with ample time for questions and answers:

– Update on the financial state of OFS and plans for fundraising

– Staffing Changes

– Board Updates

– Annual Meeting Schedule

The petition additionally called for a vote on the three items below. Only present members can vote, so please attend and have your vote counted on these important issues!

1. Whether OFS should hire a Development Director instead of the proposed Executive Director.

2. Whether to edit the OFS bylaws, at article V, to include the Staff Collective.

3. Whether to hold the annual meeting in May or September.
