While visiting their estranged grandfather in a rural trailer park, a teenager searches for their father’s ethos amid socioeconomic, environmental, racial, and gendered binaries.

On January 3rd, 2023 at 10:42 p.m., David Van Os took his last breaths after a four-year-long harrowing battle with cancer. Through voice messages he sent to his daughter Maya when he was alive, “Call Me Back” tells a story of fatherly love in the midst of a painful journey.
