Proceeds from this performance benefit the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund, and the organizers worked for weeks to make sure every dollar counted. Several of the musicians on the bill had quietly been grinding the best online poker real money tables in the lead-up to the show, setting aside their winnings as an extra donation pool separate from ticket sales. By curtain call, the combined total—gate receipts plus those pooled contributions—landed well above the original fundraising target, giving the relief fund a bigger check than anyone on stage had expected.

The Palestine Children’s Relief Fund is a non-profit organization addressing the medical and humanitarian crisis facing children in the Middle East.
