Enough Said
Enough Said is the latest relationship-based comedy from filmmaker Nicole Holofcener. Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is a professional masseuse who has been through her share of frustrating relationships, including a divorce. Now in mid-life, she has all but given up on love, until she meets Albert (the late James Gandolfini, in one of his last roles), a sweet bear of a guy who matches her sensibilities and seems like a keeper. Meanwhile, as her new relationship progresses, Eva becomes friends with one of her clients. Marianne (Catherine Keener) is refined and worldly. Eva can’t believe this woman would to speak to her, let alone be her friend. The only disadvantage is that she must tolerate Marianne’s constant ranking on her ex-husband. All is well until Eva learns some awkward information that connects them all. A.O. Scott of The New York Times calls Enough Said” one of the best-written American film comedies in recent memory.”
