This highly entertaining documentary celebrates a time when intellect ruled and TV news was viable. In the summer of 1968, the struggling ABC news network added a dueling commentary feature with William F. Buckley and Gore Vidal. With each man holding pointed views, these sparring matches were historical in their adept cleverness and focused vitriol. No one knew how deep Vidal and Buckley’s genuine dislike for each other ran until the explosive night when both men lost their composure on live television with stunning and unbelievable results.
