DOPE

Dope is a smart coming-of-age comedy set in the day-to-day life of inner city Inglewood, California. Malcolm is 17 and ambitious. He loves computer science and ‘90s hip-hop. He’s intelligent and is reminded of it constantly by his taunting peers. His goals are the following: ace the SATs, get into Harvard… and get rid of the huge stash of heroin accidentally left in his backpack. What follows is a funny and clever battle of will and ingenuity, as Malcolm and his friends navigate the shady underbelly of their neighborhood, while staying honest in a world of corruption.
