Director Noah Baumbach reunites with Frances Ha actress Greta Gerwig in this sparkling, modern screwball comedy. Mistress America plunges into the world of art, creativity and the dynamics of female friendships in the big city. Tracy is a college freshman and aspiring writer just arrived in New York City, but so far, city life is not what she imagined. It seems to consist of feeling alone in a crowd of people she can’t connect to, until fate brings Brooke (Gerwig) into her life. Brooke is confident, glamorous and full of exciting –albeit eccentric- ideas. Quickly, Tracy is swept into Brooke’s wacky world of adventure.
