OFS presents The Rocky Horror Picture Show featuring live shadow cast and audience participation! Originally produced for the London stage in 1973, The Rocky Horror Picture Show was Richard O’Brien’s musical tribute to B-movies, sci-fi, 50s rock, and Hammer Horror, as filtered through the transgressive and camp attitudes rock-opera and punk. A huge success, the play caught the attention of 20th Century Fox, who fast-tracked a theatrical adaptation. Featuring most of the creative team and cast of the original production, the movie was a flop when originally released in 1975. Now one of the most beloved and enduring camp classics of all time, Rocky Horror is still shown in theaters across the country and has become a cultural phenomenon that is a unique and unforgettable experience for all patrons. Whether this is your 1st or 500th time, the key to the perfect Rocky Horror screening is to have fun, live the movie, and be the dirty little pervert you always wanted to be, all while remembering to respect your fellow audience members. Patrons are encouraged to engage with the film by dressing up and purchasing prop bags for audience participation. Sorry, no outside props are allowed. Come be a part of the longest-running midnight movie in history!

CURRENT COVID PROTOCOLS

Our top priority continues to be the safety of our audiences, artists, volunteers, staff, and the community. Beginning July 1, 2022, OFS will no longer require proof of vaccination. OFS strongly encourages and recommends when attending a performance at the Capitol Theater that all audience members wear a mask over their nose and mouth except when eating or drinking. Due to the continuing COVID-19 threat, it is critical to continue protecting and supporting those individuals who are immunocompromised or medically vulnerable, or who remain concerned for their own health or the health of their family or community. OFS encourages people to be kind and compassionate to individuals, students and businesses that choose to continue wearing face masks.

OFS management continually assesses the changing guidelines, artist contracts, and local government updates. We reserve the right to require health and safety protocols for all performances.  We will proactively communicate any change in health protocols with advance notice.

If you feel sick, have any of the following symptoms, or have tested positive for COVID-19, we request that you do not attend any performances:

Cough
Sore throat
Shortness of breath
Trouble breathing
Fever or chills
Loss of smell or taste
