OFS Board Announces Executive Director: Audrey Henley

OLYMPIA FILM SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As we close on the first week of the New Year, The Olympia Film Society Board of Directors and Staff are pleased to announce the promotion of Audrey Henley as our new Executive Director.

Audrey joined the OFS Staff Collective in 2005 as our Live Events Coordinator and shortly thereafter became our Operations Director, handling all aspects of events, rentals, and facility needs. She was instrumental in purchase of the Capitol Theater by the Olympia Film Society. Audrey has spearheaded several high profile projects in the preservation of the theater and has increased our visibility and viability as a venue.

Audrey is recognized by our volunteers, local media, and patrons of the Capitol Theater as a community leader and the friendly and outgoing face of OFS. Her active participation and experience of 8 years at OFS has given her a thorough understanding of the Olympia Film Society: who we are, what we do, the importance of our volunteers and members, and how we fit within our community.

In the upcoming year her focus will be to continue building important relationships within our community and beyond, membership support, and to get us on the road to a capital fundraising campaign that will allow us to restore the Capitol Theater and improve our operations budget.
