Message from OFS Executive Director:

*The 29th Annual Film Festival has arrived at OFS, bringing its great variety of films and events.  A big thank you goes out to Festival Director Lisa Hurwitz and Programmer Joel Minkin, who attracted more sponsors, brought more guests, and created more partnerships than ever before.  Their vision came together because of our amazing volunteers, and we thank them whole heartedly for their commitment this year.

*We also welcome two new members of the OFS Board and Staff.  Bert Trobman, CPA, has joined our board, and Joanne Stimac is our newest staff member.  Joanne will act as the OFS bookkeeper, working closely with forrmer long-time OFS staffer Linda Friedman.  Together they bring great expertise to support our organization.

*OFS is also moving to a digital database system called Ticket Turtle, which will be used to sell our event tickets and track memberships all in one place.  In this transition, it appears some of our mailings have missed current members.  I apologize for this oversight, and encourage anyone who receives our printed series programs in the mail to contact me if you do not receive it.

*We have a great collection of films, concerts and events coming up, including the beloved annual ‘Duck the Malls’ event on Saturday, December 8th.  I hope you find something that interests you, and that you bring along friends and family to enjoy our beautiful historic space.
