Weekend festival!

An absolute bash of a two-day fest, LOCALS ONLY showcases the Pacific Northwest film community in a celebration of discount 35mm lenses, DIY light bounces, and running out of SD cards. Independent filming is a tough job, and PNW filmmakers show their best work at the Capitol Theater. With a local panel or two on film education, LOCALS ONLY strives to be both a showcase and learning opportunity for local filmmakers and lovers of the art form.

The Northwest Film Forum comes to OFS for a sampler of their own local film festival up in Seattle!
Post-program discussion with filmmakers Xaviera Vandermay [night shift], Matt Krzycki [night shift], and Sally Cloninger [MIX-MIX (HALO-HALO). Moderated by Northwest Film Forum executive director Vivian Hua.

A curated selection of short films from Pacific Northwest Filmmakers, featuring Olympia filmmakers Maren Moreno, Jonah Barrett, James Clark, Oscar Kryzanauskas, and Washington filmmakers Isabel Nixon Klein and Austin Milner.

Two amateur skimboarders get swept up into a duel against a local beach legend and must put their faith into the teachings a beach guru (who might be a hopeless beach bum) in the hopes that they don’t look like the total losers they actually are.

When Charlie (Samuel Derrick) and Trish (Phoenix Ever) are asked to deliver a small box to an elusive crime boss, they think it’ll be just another job. However, after being followed and attacked by an unknown assailant, Charlie and Trish begin to realize that there are forces that desperately want the box and will do anything to get it, even if that means killing them.
