KNKX Holiday Jam and Live Broadcast 2018
6:00pm doors / 7:00pm show
88.5 KNKX continues its tradition of bringing yuletide cheer to the Northwest with a concert of music for the season—incorporating some of the area’s best jazz students and regional jazz musicians. The KNKX Holiday Jam and Live Broadcast will be presented for the first time ever in Olympia at the Historic Capitol Theater on Tuesday, December 11 from 7-8 p.m., hosted by Abe Beeson. The event is free and open to the public, and will be broadcast live on-air and streamed live at knkx.org.
This year’s concert features the Tumwater School District Jazz Band comprised of students from Tumwater High School and A.G. West Black Hills High School; and special guests, the Jacqueline Tabor Jazz Band (vocalist Jacqueline Tabor, pianist Bill Anschell, bassist Clipper Anderson, drummer Mark Ivester). Jacqueline will also perform a few tunes with the student bands. The Holiday Jam is KNKX’s annual holiday gift to the community and this year, the station is proud to partner with the Historic Capitol Theater. Doors open at 6 p.m. The concert is festival seating and no reservations/tickets are required. Please bring non-perishable food donations for Northwest Harvest. Learn more here.
