FAKE TATTOOS + SILVERLAKE AFTERNOON

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 13 – 35th Annual Olympia Film Festival
FAKE TATTOOS
6:00pm doors / 6:30pm film

A film about music, the ephemera of meet-cutes, and the trauma of living. Director Pascal Plante’s Fake Tattoos revolves around Theo (Anthony Therrien) and Mag (Rose-Marie Perreault), two teenagers who ascend into the void of friendship and flirtation in a sun-flecked summer. The lived-in moments of joy and apprehension are some of the most nuanced, funny, and heartbreaking in recent film memory. Plante’s film is an ode to the realization of memories and the specters of the past. Keep Rose-Marie Perreault’s rookie card: she is going to be big.
Dir. Pascal Plante / 2017 / Canada / 87 min

SHORT NARRATIVE FILM: SILVERLAKE AFTERNOON
At 33, Michael’s doing something he’s never done before – meeting up with another guy. Off Grindr. But what begins as an incredibly ill-advised midday hookup soon reveals itself to be the perfect primer for his new gay life.
Dir. Rebecca Holopter & Michael Osborne / 2018 / US / 10 min
