In the dramatic thriller White God, outcasts stage an uprising against authority. Thirteen-year-old Lili and her beloved dog, Hagen, are inseparable until the fateful day she’s forced to live with her father. Her dad is selfish and has no love for animals, especially a dog for which he is required to pay a fine due to its mixed breed status. Rather than pay, he abandons Hagen to the streets— to Lili’s distress. From that moment on, we follow Hagen on a grand and violent adventure into the streets of Budapest, as he is forced to fight for his life on a valiant quest to be reunited with Lili once again. A top prize winner at the Cannes Film Festival, White God is stunning allegory on the plight of society’s oppressed as told through a canine’s eyes.
