The Lobster is a pitch-black comedy with an unconventional love story beating within its satirical heart. In an extremely bleak future, couple-hood is mandatory, and single life is a crime. Newly divorced David (Colin Farrell) must check himself into a countryside hotel where he is required to find a mate within 45 days. If he fails to comply, he will be turned into the animal of his choice and released into the woods.
