Four summers in a row now, a few lucky EverGreeners have immersed themselves in the fine arts of “direct animation” – making movies without cameras by creating handcrafted imagery directly onto 16mm & 35mm film leaders via paint / scratch (and a myriad of other weird techniques). Students have 5 weeks to learn everything about the medium, then create moving masterworks for this grand finale screening. This show features students’ 35mm film loops, graciously presented by OFS’ brilliantly professional 35mm projection – a rare opportunity for both students and viewers to excite your retinas with an utterly unique cinema experience.
