THE CONNECTION

The Connection is an alternative version of The French Connection, as told from a French point of view. Instead of Gene Hackman as Popeye Doyle, we get Jean Dujardin as Pierre Michel -a tough, conflicted magistrate who wears his heart on his sleeve, and the shadows of his past in his eyes. Michel is dedicated to the job, capturing criminals and upholding the law. His latest foe is Gaëtan Zampa, the head of a sprawling drug ring that stretches from Europe to America. Immediately, a complicated cat-and-mouse game ensues this an action-packed thriller that holds its own against the brilliant 1970’s classic.
