The Babadook

In The Babadook a single mother must face her demons—real and imagined. Amelia, who still hasn’t dealt properly with the death of her husband, is trying her best to raise her son who was born on the night of her tragic loss. Samuel is a precocious child haunted by bad dreams and memories of a dad he never knew. When Amelia pulls an unfamiliar book off the shelf and unintentionally reads Samuel a disquieting bedtime story more than just a creepy tale is unleashed into their lives. The Babadook stalks those most afraid; it lurks in shadows and feeds on fear. A modern horror classic in the league with The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby, A.O.
