The Hapa Hillbillies + Red & Ruby play Chaplin. A night of silent film, set to live music and live music, set to put a smile on your face. Join us for an old time evening of 2 classic 1917 Charlie Chaplin short films – with music composed, arranged and performed by the Hapa Hillbillies + Red & Ruby. These films are hilarious, mesmerizing and brilliant – not to mention being 100 yrs old! The original music, written by Ben Bonham and Ronnie Ontiveros, is in keeping with the period and features the distinctive Hapa Hillbilly sound.

Who are Red & Ruby? They’re jazz vocalist LaVon Hardison and swing guitarist Vince Brown, who team up on special occasions for a spirited romp through the roots of swing, jazz, and blues from the ’30s, ’40s, and beyond. Get ready for some fun, upbeat, and up-tempo tunes that will make you feel good about yourself and help you see the world through slightly rosier glasses.  Live musical accompaniment plus sets from both bands!
