Love & Friendship is a biting comedy of manners from the iconic indie filmmaker, Whit Stillman (Metropolitan, The Last Days of Disco). Based on an unfinished novella by Jane Austen, the story revolves around Lady Susan Vernon (Kate Beckinsale), who has just arrived at her in-law’s majestic estate. Recently widowed, she could be grieving, but lying, scheming, and verbal sparring are more Lady Susan’s game.
