Join OFS and The Ton magazine for this extra wild holiday book drive for the kids! This event combines our love of 35mm film, vintage motorcycles, literacy, badassery, and the meaningful gift of books to our community’s youth! Cruise on by after the Olympia Toy Run, and we’ll have a reserved spot to park your bike in front of the Capitol Theater! Walk on over to Three Magnets Brewing Co. for a bite to eat before we take off on a wild ride with Heavenly Blues (Peter Fonda), Loser (Bruce Dern), and Monkey (Nancy Sinatra) for rebellious revenge in the classic Corman motorcycle tale; The Wild Angels! Proceeds from this event and books will benefit South Sound Reading Foundation – LIVE TO READ, READ TO LIVE!

When Hell’s Angels member Loser (Bruce Dern) has his motorcycle swiped, he entreats his gang to help him seek the bike, and revenge. Gang leader Heavenly Blues (Peter Fonda) and his lady, Mike (Nancy Sinatra), succeed in tracking down the thieves, but when a fracas breaks out between the gangs, the cops shoot Loser, putting him in the hospital. The rest of the Angels try to rescue Loser from his sickbed, wreaking havoc in the ward and doing their buddy more harm than good.  Dir:  Roger Corman / 1966 / USA / 93min

About the benefit – Each week South Sound Reading Foundation serves over 1000 children and their families. They work especially hard to serve children and families who are low-income, under-resourced, and may be living in remote, rural communities. They also work hard to serve children and families whose first language is not English.   In 2017,  56,062 free books were distributed, 10,942 books to hungry and homeless children during school breaks were given, and 2,102 books to incarcerated parents and their children during family visits were provided. South Sound Reading Foundation’s mission is to bring the joy and promise of books and reading to ALL South Sound children and envision a world where all children read well and enjoy reading.

Meet up at Three Magnets Brewing Co. after the Toy Run!

The Ton is a Pacific Northwest motorcycle and lifestyle magazine.
