HORNS

Horns
Based on a novel by Joe Hill, Horns is a black comedy in the guise of a supernatural mystery. Ig (Daniel Radcliffe) is a pariah in his hometown after the death of his girlfriend. He didn’t do it, but everyone thinks he did, since he was released due to lack of evidence. One morning he wakes up to find horns sprouting from his forehead. Certain that he is going to be stoned or banished, Ig tries to hide his new, devilish appendages, but when he fails he’s surprised by the reaction. The appearance of the horns on Ig’s head causes whomever he’s around to reveal their innermost, most reprehensible thoughts, whether he wants to hear them or not. At first intrigued, and then repelled by the terrible things he learns, Ig eventually decides to use his strange, new power to hunt down the real killer of the woman he loved.  Dir.: Alexandre Aja / 2013 / US, Canada / 120 min / DCP
