In the dark comedy Frank, a struggling rock band finds its footing with the addition of an eccentric lead singer named Frank (Michael Fassbender), a brooding genius and eccentric savant who insists on wearing a giant, cartoon-looking mask over his head at all times. Everyone tolerates Frank because he knows how things work and why. But when an actual opportunity springs from the ether, it’s either sink or swim for this bizarre band of eccentrics that may not be ready for the real world. A.O.
