The Olympia Film Society is proud to announce their “Drama on the Dance Floor” 80’s dance fundraiser on June 30th at the Capitol Theater, with 80’s throwback dreamboats The Aqua-Nets performing live music. OFS patrons are encouraged to come dressed in their most fab 80’s garb and tear up the dance floor.

The Aqua-Nets are an energetic Pacific Northwest dance, pop, and rock band specializing in 80’s hits and jams, guaranteeing listeners will smile, laugh, sing, and travel back in time. The Aqua-Nets formed out of a desire to simply have fun with an easy going and talented group of musicians. The band found one another on Craigslist and never looked back, with four members from Olympia and Issaquah areas and 2 from Washington DC. Members are all mostly from original bands who perform in the Seattle area and are simply having a ridiculous amount of fun playing cover songs for excited Northwest fans, who are looking for any excuse to dress up and get out and dance! Members of the Aqua-Nets are all very good friends and have adopted one another as family, as they also adopt their audience at every show. They play songs that bring listeners back to where they first heard them and sometimes they add a little “punch” to their tunes, creating a live party experience that listeners will not get from any DJ or phone’s song list.

The Capitol Theater has served as an artistic hub for the arts in Olympia since its beginnings as a vaudeville stage in 1924. The theater serves as a space where the Olympia community gathers in order to connect, empower, and support the arts.

Proceeds will go directly toward supporting the Olympia Film Society. There will be like, a radical photo booth at the event – where guests can get their 80’s glam captured on film for eternity. Totally tubular raffle prizes will also be there, and this event is so all ages with the mezzanine open for 21+ dudes.
