In Wes Craven’s original A Nightmare on Elm Street, an iconic killer makes his terrifying screen debut. There’s something wrong on Elm Street. The teenagers are being haunted in their dreams by a shadowy figure with razors for fingers and a penchant for one-liners laced with murderous innuendo. When kids actually start dying in their sleep, a girl named Nancy investigates and unearths a shocking secret. Meanwhile, the horrifically disfigured Freddy Krueger stalks and haunts his cowering prey, dwelling in the miasma between nightmares and terrible reality.
