Rhode’s Scholar, humanities professor, author, and host of “The Thomas Jefferson Hour” on NPR each Sunday evening, Clay Jenkinson returns to the Capitol Theater as Meriwether Lewis, leader of the “Voyage of Discovery”, the most successful exploration in American history.  Meriwether Lewis and co-leader William Clark, along with Sacagawea and their assembled band of explorers, became historical legends.  Captain Lewis will be speaking primarily about their exploration of the Pacific Northwest.  Clay Jenkinson has presented at the White House on a number of occasions and was awarded the first National Humanities Medal in 1994.  If you attended Clay’s performance as Thomas Jefferson last May, you will not want to miss this spellbinding presentation.
