Once again it’s time to spend the holidays with your old friends Tevye, Golde, Lazar Wolf and the rest at the annual Christmas Day at the movies, featuring a return of the Fiddler on the Roof Sing-a-long! Directed by Norman Jewison, the 1971 movie is an adaptation of the successful Broadway musical, itself a retelling of stories by Jewish author Shalom Aleichem. Set in pre-Revolutionary Russia in the village of Anatevka, Fiddler on the Roof tells the story of Tevye the milkman and his family clinging to their Jewish traditions as they confront modern times. Come in costume and come prepared to sing! Temple Beth Hatfiloh will be holding a warm coat and blanket drive, so bring your donations to the theater the day of the movie. Homemade baked goods will also be for sale.
