The Fine Art of Handmade Animated Film (FAHAF14) is The Evergreen State College’s summer intensive all-cameraless, direct animation analog film motion graphics boot camp, and this special free screening showcases the fresh 35mm creations of FAHAF14. Taught by veteran direct animator (and Olympia Film Society volunteer & former staffer) Devon Damonte, this show features the culminating final projects of FAHAF14’s five students and faculty, plus work by invited special guests. This screening is made possible by a partnership between the Olympia Film Society and The Evergreen State College and affords students a unique opportunity to make a show work in glorious 35mm film, a rarity in today’s all digital cinema world. (*note; FAHAF14 students will also present a second show of their 16mm expanded cinema final projects on Thursday, July 24 at 7pm at Northern / Olympia All Ages). Join us!
