2017 OLYMPIA CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM

Sunday, October 15 – Olympia Left Coalition Presents
2017 OLYMPIA CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM
12:00 PM DOORS/ 1:00 PM INTRODUCTION
FREE & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The Olympia Left Coalition will be hosting a candidate forum for the 2017 Olympia City Council race. We are a temporary working group made up of members of the Olympia DSA, Olympia Assembly, Thurston County Democrats, South Sound Green Party, Olympia IWW, and Just Housing.

We organized city council candidate forum because of the need to pose serious questions from the left to the people running for positions of power in our city government. The people organizing this forum work with groups whose ideas are often disregarded by those seeking positions of power in our community. We are excited to be putting on an event where those voices will be able to question these candidates.

Candidates confirmed attending: Allen Miller, Max Brown, Renata Rollins, Lisa Parshley, Clark Gilman, Daniel Marsh
Cannot attend (possible representatives?): Jim Cooper, Jeannine Roe

This is a free event open to the public. We will be accepting monetary donations at the door to help cover the cost of renting the theater. All excess money will be donated to Just Housing.

Donations will be accepted at the door to support Just Housing and EGYHOP.
Bring new or gently-used socks, gloves, and blankets for donation to EGYHOP.
Cash donations will help us pay for the rental space, and extra funds will be donated to Just Housing.

EVENT PROCEEDINGS:
12-1pm: Doors at noon. Participating groups will have tables with literature and organization information. Attendees will receive event brochure.
